House style

The last things Dawn checks are not really about clarity. They are about consistency: the small habits that make a site read as if one person wrote it, not ten different documents stitched together.

Dawn looks for:

• ALL CAPS words that are not a known abbreviation
• Title Case Headings, instead of sentence case
• "&" instead of "and"
• "e.g.", "i.e." and "etc." instead of the words written out
• vague link text, like "click here" or "read more"

Like inclusive language, house style does not depend on what happens upstream. You can fix "click here" whether or not the paragraph around it gets rewritten.
