Include your writing in Pop Pop Library

What we're asking, the full version

I'm Jonny Holden. I run Pop Pop Studio, building SEND local offer websites and inclusion tools with councils.

We're experimenting with how councils might use Ai and we've built Pop Pop Library. It's a free, growing collection of SEND guidance, policy, tribunal decisions and practitioner writing, fully searchable. Ask Ai is a research tool that sits on top of it and answers real questions in plain English, citing its sources as it goes. And this is the key. No Ai hallucinations, no waffle. Real citations.

We're building it for local authority folks so that they can resurface what they have already read in the documents. And maybe shed some new light with fresh material they haven't seen.

Your writing is exactly the kind of real, practical material that keeps the library up to date with fresh perspectives. I'd love to be able to include it.

What including it means in practice

The text is indexed so our search, Ask Ai, can find it and quote a short, cited passage back, with your name, the title, and a link straight to your page. The full piece is never republished; readers are sent to you to read the wider context.

We'll be keeping an eye on how often people click through to your original page this way, and we're happy to share that anonymised data back with you.

If you'd rather it were title-and-link only, with no quoting, that's fine. If you'd rather it weren't there at all, say so and I'll take out your existing docs. If you change your mind later, just let me know.

Who's using it, and why citations matter more than the answer

The audience is mostly local authority SEND teams, plus NHS and other organisations that work alongside them. We built Ask Ai to give people real citations but the narrative summary is still useful. Ask Ai reads across everything it finds and reflects on which sources back each other up. This tends to surface better citations than a keyword search alone. We think that helps LA teams broaden their own research beyond the usual official guidance — bringing in a range of voices.

Terms, and opting out

Ask Ai is built on Claude, an Ai model made by Anthropic. When Ask Ai answers a question using your writing, the relevant passage is sent to Anthropic to help generate that answer. Anthropic doesn't use this to train their models. There's more detail in our privacy notice and terms.

If you'd rather your material wasn't part of Pop Pop Library, that's completely fine. Let me know by replying to this email and I'll remove every document of yours from the library.

If you're happy for it to stay, there's a one-minute permission form for us to get the details right.

And if you fancy trying Ask Ai yourself and telling me what you make of it, I'd genuinely welcome that too. It's still early days and real feedback shapes it more than anything else. If you'd like this to cover your future writing as well, say so and I'll keep it current.

Thanks for what you write. It matters, and it gets read.

We'll only link to and quote from pages on the open web — nothing behind a paywall — unless you tell us otherwise below. If you say yes, this counts as your agreement for us to include what you list here on those terms; if you'd rather it were reviewed as a real contract first, just say so in the notes field and we'll sort that separately.

Since this records an agreement, we need to know who gave it.

So we know you're able to answer this on your organisation's behalf.

Where we should reach you if we have questions, and where we'll confirm this.

Are you happy for your writing to be included in Pop Pop Library?
When Ask Ai shows a result from your writing, what should it include?

Only relevant if you said yes above. Most contributors choose the quoted option — it gives people enough context to trust the citation and click through, which tends to send more readers to your page than a bare link alone.

Optional. List any URLs behind a paywall you're happy for us to include despite the open-web-only default above.
